Here at Kappa Kappa chapter, our membership experience is defined by cherished traditions likeshared meals, deep bonds built through Big/Little reveal week, and opportunities to lead through Panhellenic involvement and our chapter Executive Team. Whether it's cheering on on our school's team together at sporting events, raising funds for the Arthritis Foundation, or late-night study sessions at the AOII house, our sisters create lifelong memories in every moment. NEW MEMBER Experience
AOII’s New Member Experience is designed to help you feel confident, connected, and supported as you begin your journey in our sisterhood. During this period, you'll learn about our history, values, and what it means to be an AOII—all while forming meaningful relationships with your new member class and chapter. With mentorship, sisterhood events, and opportunities to grow as a leader and individual, this experience is just the beginning of a lifelong connection.
INITIATION
Initiation is a special and memorable milestone in every AOII’s journey. It’s when you officially become a lifelong member of our sisterhood and commit to the values that unite us. The ceremony is rooted in our rich history and traditions, creating a meaningful connection between you, your chapter, and thousands of AOIIs around the world. It’s more than a moment—it’s the start of your forever AOII journey.
BIG/LITTLE
The Big/Little relationship is one of the most cherished parts of the AOII experience. Your Big is a mentor, supporter, and lifelong friend—someone who’s there to guide you, cheer you on, and celebrate all the moments in between. But that’s just the beginning. The friendships and connections you’ll create throughout the chapter—through sisterhood events, shared experiences, and programs like Infinity Sisters—bring meaningful bonds that make your AOII journey truly special.
CHAPTER EVENTS
Chapter events are at the heart of the AOII experience, bringing sisters together to celebrate, learn, and grow. Whether it’s weekly sisterhood gatherings, monthly philanthropy and service projects, or larger events like formals and retreats, these activities foster meaningful connections and create lasting memories. Each event is an opportunity to strengthen bonds, make a difference, and fully embrace the sisterhood that defines AOII. With something happening throughout the semester, there’s always a chance to connect, contribute, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
There are unlimited ways to be involved in AOII, and we offer opportunities that fit every personal interest. Whether our members serve on chapter committees or in AOII officer positions, or hold leadership positions on campus, AOII values leadership and the contributions our members make to our campus and local community. As AOII members, we are tasked with using our individual talents to bring positivity into the world around us.
